Distorted value.

The area that involved in this topic is wide, we can discuss this from many aspect, such as psychology, human nature, education background, etc etc. I’m not discussing this like an expert or social pathology, but from my personal observation.

It is weird that we can see many people chasing branded stuff blindly, whenever there was a new branded shop open, we can see there were people lining out there, like they never saw branded shop before, this is a things worth to spend time to observe, because it might reflected our own generation’s value.

Why is that happened? We can penetrate this from many angles, just take the example we can easily found around us, people like to compare with other. Yes! If you still have no idea, I will tell you a place, college or university. People like to compare the brand, oh ya, the price of their clothes, shoes, or fashion bag. If you wearing the most expansive one, you win! You walk like under a spotlight, all people are gazing on you, and you could enjoy the vanity. But I would rather suggest them to spot by others not because the stuff they are wearing, but their academic performance. By the way, these people always tend to forget that university or college is a place to pursuit knowledge but not a place to have a fashion show. Despicable.

Some would like to compare what car they drive, this is even more ridiculous, come on dude, you are not comparing YOUR OWN CAR with others, but YOUR FATHER’S Car, please make it clear. I’m sure if we deprive their father from them, they are nobody, not to mention maintain a nice good car, their survival would be in doubt.

You don’t have to tell me how rich your family are, because is your family money. The wealth your family own is just prove how good your father earning money’s skill, but not yours. Your earning money’s or surviving skill yet to be tested, so you have nothing to proud of. The more you tell people how rich your family is, the more you expose your family in danger, they failed to see this, and they don’t know what situation they put their family in.

Basically the people who carrying “distorted value”, I would called them “value distorter”, or “distorted value carrier”.  Value distorter normally is lack of confident; they need to show off something to others so that others will saw them. This is pathetic, how you spot them, it’s easy, and from the way they talk, they  will keep emphasis how rich THEIR FAMILY is or WHAT CAR THEY ARE DRIVING, it is like talking all external good things to empowered them, what they should do is they should do something to empowered themselves by their own!

Some of the value distorter’s life style is lavish, dine in fine restaurant, with wine, drive nice sport car, nice clothes, but wait, if we really check their bank account,  ahem, zero is ok, but mostly goes to negative, means debts. The question is, why do we need to indebted our self to get the life that we are not deserve, just because we can show off to somebody, do the math please, what you loss is more then what you gain. Yeah, they are value distorter. We , a normal human being will see their “bright side”, means that their lavish life, but we always ignored the “dark side”, like the face when they repay their outstanding credit balance, or to pay the installment, or the day they just eat instant noodles. If someone’s spending pattern does not according to their normal income, there must be a problem. Keep smart.

To be a high class people, beside of wearing expansive and branded stuff, you still have many to do, like knowledge, culture, thinking, manners. If everyone would be a high class people after wearing branded stuff and driving nice good car, then I think the dog outside of my house also can, as long as I buy them a piece of branded wear and carry it into a nice car, wow! Come on buddy, it is so easy; our social will have no lower class people.
You can’t stand the face some of them just because they think they are high class after wearing some branded wear, normally I will treat them like the monkey in the zoo, to have fun with, throw some banana to them, to see a monkey show, to kill time.

Do we really have free lunch in the world? Nope, you can found this “there are no free lunch in the world” and the front of some economics book. If someone tells you there will be a good investment, guaranty with XX% of return, beware, that might be a scheme. Even Warrant Buffett got burn sometime; I have no reason to believe that there is an investment with guaranty and stable return.  Why do we have so many people got schemed though the newspaper told us every day do not believe in this thing. Greed, I would say. What I would say is, let’s us go back to the most original way to accumulate wealth, do not dream get-rich-quick, come on! This is another kind of distorted value. We are losing the virtue that our ancestor has, save money, work hard, happy family.

Value distorter also like to mix up the money and love. In the way they perceive the world, they think money can buy everything, like love. So , their strategy to get a girlfriend is easy, throw bundle of Ringgit into that girl, and they expect the girls will  go to them. Come on, if the girl come to you, is just because of your money not love. If someone throw even more money to the girl, the girl will leave and be with other man. Love is dealing with human, not stuff, you can buy LV, Audi with money but not dignity, love, companionship

Value distorter need time to understand this.

We can even seen the politician with distorted value, they thought they are the king, but they forget is the people who give them the power to take care of the country. Once they got elected, means the wealth come. If you like to be rich, don’t go to politic, do business, don’t tell me all bullshit, there must have conflict of interest. This is why there are so many leader or politician hardly to be convinced,.

We are losing all the virtue once we have, why, is that because we are “kia-su”, or afraid-to-lost? They should understand  beside of money, we still have money good things to do. If they can’t understand this, I could foresee, they are wasting their life.
